History
Association for Energy Economics (EEA) started its activity just after restoration of Lithuanian independency. In 1993, EEA become a Member of International Association for Energy Economics, which is an independent global organization of energy experts from various institutions. In 2007, Lithuanian Energy Institute, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and National Control Commission for Prices and Energy established a new agreement.

The main aim of EEA – to establish forum for professional discussions about energy policy and economy. Today Association join together energy experts from various science and education, industry, consulting companies, government and other institutions. Professional experience of EEA members unbar the ways for development of international research cooperation, for sharing of knowledge and experience, for exchange of new and innovative ideas in field of energy economics.
